Holy moly, it’s been a minute! Between a pleasantly active fall season and a general need to take a social break (looking at you 2020), I sort of lost track of just how long that break lasted - whoopsies! I have SO SO many lovelies to share and lots of exciting things in store for 2021 - all of which will be posted here on the blog, on Facebook and on Instagram.
I figure since we’re into a new year it’s the perfect time to do a fresh introduction for anyone new around here!
So hi - I’m Ally and I adore capturing love! A few things about me:
Before doing my undergrad in photography, I trained pre-professionally for a career in ballet. Today, I’m still heavily involved in the local dance scene as a trustee at Bermuda Civic Ballet and through the many opportunities I have to shoot amazingly talented local dancers! It’s definitely a favourite specialty of mine - so if you need some dance photos, I’m your girl! 🩰
Come April I will be officially through with my Masters degree! It’s been a long two years balancing running a business, raising a family and going to school - but so worth it! 👩🏼🎓
I met my husband Mark while we were photographing Queen Elizabeth II 👸That story will never get old for me!
I’m a horrible cook, and consider myself very lucky to be married to someone who has culinary inclinations. I’m trying to improve - so if you have “recipes for dummies”, send them my way!
But I really enjoy baking. Mostly I love decorating cakes 🎂I started ahead of my son’s first birthday and find it really relaxing.
I can drive a stick shift and change a flat tire. I wouldn’t say I have many survival skills, but I’m pretty proud of these 😂
