Two & Quarter is located on Water Street in historic St George, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We occupy 1850 square feet on the waterfront that is home to our Studio & Client Lounge, Office, Print Lab, and Framing Workshop.
While the majority of our shoots happen on-location elsewhere island wide, our dedicated studio space is ideal for capturing newborns and boudoir sessions, offering both privacy and gorgeous natural light.

Wedding & Portrait FAQS

What is your shooting style?
We define our shooting style as an organic combination of fine art, photojournalism and documentary photography. Using primarily natural light, we aim to capture your day as it unfolds before us capturing both candid moments and the raw emotions.

How many photographers do you work with?
Two & Quarter consists of two professional lead photographers. For Full Wedding Coverage, Mark + Ally work together as a husband and wife team to capture your day most comprehensively. Intimate Wedding Coverage and Portraits Sessions are captured by either Mark or Ally. Two shooters can be hired for Event Coverage depending on the needs of the client and our availability.

How many weddings do you book?
Two & Quarter will only book one wedding per photographer per day - and if you've booked Full Day Wedding Coverage we're both all yours! To ensure communication and attention to detail for each couple, we capture a limited number of weddings each year. Before booking, we love to meet with every couple - either at our studio or over the phone - to chat about your wedding photography needs and ensure we mutually 'click'!

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes! Unforeseen emergencies aside, unless we have made alternate arrangements prior to your event or you have hired an associate, then either Mark or Ally (or both) will be the photographer for your Wedding or Portrait Session.

Do you have a replacement photographer should you become unavailable on the day of an event?
The benefit of a two photographer team is that should one of us become suddenly unavailable, there's still one (wo)man standing! Nothing has kept us from a booking yet, but if in the unforeseen event that neither of us are available then we would do our utmost to find a replacement photographer from our island-wide network of professionals.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting conditions?
Definitely! Our comprehensive training and years of experience allows us to work in various lighting situations and weather conditions (seriously, we shot a wedding during a hurricane). Our kit always includes the necessary equipment for any lighting scenario.

Do you bring back-up equipment in case of malfunction?
Yes! We have a back-up kit should we experience any technical issues during your event.

What is your policy on taking breaks and do you require a meal?
Keeping vendors fueled and fed is crucial to a successful wedding day! We always keep a selection of snacks and water handy to keep us going, but your contract will include one hot meal per photographer and assistant for weddings or events of 4+ hours. Think of it this way, if you're hungry then chances are we are too! We will plan with you and/or your co-ordinator the best time for a meal break so that we're ready to capture the action as it happens.

How soon after the event are images ready?
A sneak peek of your shoot will be posted on social media following your session, and as per our Terms & Conditions the absolute maximum turnaround time for your complete set of images is two months - though typically much faster!

What if I don't want my images shared online?
If you’ve gotten this far, chances are you’ve seen our images around the interwebs. Online marketing through our website, blog, and social media is essential to the continued growth of creative businesses. However, if you would like for your images not to be used in this capacity, there is an additional fee of 20% of your quote total to allocate toward alternative marketing.

What if I need to reschedule my session?
Life happens, so we offer a one time penalty free reschedule for portrait sessions. Whenever possible, we kindly ask that 24 hours notice be provided should the need to reschedule arise by contacting us via email or on our emergency line.

Do you offer packages?
For Weddings we offer two tiers of coverage, Full Day Wedding Coverage & Intimate Wedding Coverage. With both, custom packages can be created to suit the needs of each couple from our extensive list of A La Carte options. We also offer package options for Portrait Sessions, focused on combining the milestone moments of a growing family.

I'm interested in an Engagement Session, are these available with wedding packages?
We're SO glad you asked! We love Engagement Sessions. They are the ideal way for you to get a feel of how we work behind the lens, and for us to see how you interact as a couple in front of it. Because of this, an Engagement Session is included in all Full Day Wedding Coverage packages as our booking gift to you!

What is the best time of day for my Portrait Session?
Primarily natural light portrait photographers, what we refer to as 'delicious light' is about an hour after dawn and an hour before dusk but sessions are scheduled at various times throughout the day based on your preferences and our availability. With young kids, we recommend morning sessions or working around nap schedules.

When should I schedule my Maternity Session?
Congratulations, what an exciting time! Maternity Sessions are typically scheduled between 32 - 35 weeks. At this stage in your pregnancy, you've likely popped a cute bump and are still feeling pretty good. This said, we've captured maternity sessions anywhere from early stages right to up to the due date! For our Progression Pregnancy Series, we begin documenting at 16 weeks - capturing your growing bump month-to-month.

When should I schedule my Newborn Session?
Newborn Sessions are booked scheduling in your due date, with the expectation that baby could arrive on either side of it. Once baby is here you will touch base and we'll confirm a session date on our calendar. Sessions are typically scheduled around 11am, and can be held either at our studio or your home. Commonly Newborn Sessions are captured within the first 10-14 days, but this can vary depending on post-birth circumstances or cultural beliefs. If baby is preterm, your doctor will likely advise you when it is OK to schedule. We also offer Fresh 48 newborn sessions - where we visit you at the hospital or at home within 48 hours of birth to capture the first intimate moments between you and your new baby.
